People say, "I'll hear the train coming". Fact is, many trains aren't the noisy things you'd think of. Unit stack trains (carrying containers) are very quiet; the cars make a low "whoosh" sound when passing. Add to that "no horn" areas, and you have a potential for a tragedy. A photographer in southern Wisconsin posted a picture she took of a Mother, Father, and 3 year old son sitting on a boxcar coupler with their feet between the knuckle. Unbelieveable!
